Samir hails from a humble background and he had always dreamt of a robust infrastructure for the country so that quality of life of every Indian improves to a certain level. While he was pursuing his global career, the dream of electrifying India to the last habitation was beginning to take shape in the form of RGGVY. He decided to come back to India to pursue his dream of contributing to Rural Electrification by starting a company “Medhaj Techno Concept Pvt Limited” (www.medhaj.com) in 2007. Medhaj is helping to identify villages and habitations across India in more than 28+ states to achieve their ambition of 100% electrification. Medhaj’s 1500+ engineers have surveyed about 500,000 villages and habitations in the last 11 years to support government’s efforts of electrification. Samir has a strong preference for hiring engineers coming from rural background so that they go back to rural India to give back some fruits of their knowledge back to the place they came from.
